About Riso Folio

An independent editorial project publishing summaries of research on side income, platform earnings and related measurement questions.

What this is

Riso Folio publishes plain-language summaries of academic and institutional research on side income, online platform earnings, and how surveys and administrative sources measure work beyond a primary job. It is a small editorial operation. It is not a research institute, it conducts no studies of its own, and it does not employ or represent the researchers whose work it describes.

The project is published under the name Riso Folio. All correspondence is handled at [email protected].

How subjects are chosen

A subject is taken up when there is a body of published work substantial enough to describe honestly, including work that disagrees with itself. Subjects with a single study behind them are not covered.

How sources are handled

Researchers are named in the body of the text. Figures are used only where a published source carries them. Where evidence is disputed, the dispute is described in the same passage as the finding.

What this project does not do

  • It does not give professional, financial, legal, employment or medical advice.
  • It does not offer consultations, coaching, assessments or personalised guidance.
  • It does not publish testimonials, reviews, success stories or before-and-after accounts.
  • It does not claim that reading its material produces any result.
  • It does not present its material as a method, system, formula or sequence of steps.

How Riso Folio advertises

Riso Folio promotes its editorial material through paid advertising on online platforms. An advertisement describes what an article covers. It does not presume anything about the circumstances, employment arrangement, income, relationships or health of the person who sees it.

Advertising carries no testimonials, no claims of results and no urgency or scarcity devices.
